Phaze 10

STORY

Phaze 10

Reinventing your identity as an established company can be an intimidating undertaking. Phaze 10 Property Management already had a reputation within the industry but felt that current branding and digital presence weren’t where they desired it to be. So, in 2022, they recruited the assistance of the Urban Ignite team to conduct their branding and web design work. Phaze 10 provides property management services and a vast portfolio of other property investment services to clients. Our goal from the outset was to define a brand identity that was distinctive and professional and helped create a sense of their role as a comprehensive investment property company.

CHAPTER 1

Problem

Phaze 10’s existing website and branding felt outdated compared to competitors. To carve their path within the industry, they needed a team that understood the creative process and how to create a unified identity across the digital space.

Solution

Our design and web teams worked in conjunction to create a new brand identity, including a logo redesign, new fonts, a revamped color palette, and custom creative assets that could be deployed across the web rebuild. In addition, we worked collaboratively with the Phaze 10 team to get the aesthetic in a place they were proud of.

CHAPTER 2 : REBRAND

Branding & Logo Design

Phaze 10’s original design utilized elements commonly seen in other property management branding (abstract buildings) and didn’t do much to leverage their creative business name. Our design team put the title at the center of the design process, particularly the letter Z, a unique letter that can help branding stand out. The new color scheme matched dark blue with a softer green to create a logo that pops even at a distance. The font set was chosen for Phaze 10 plays off the new logo and compliments the shapes it brings to the table. The new branding is distinctive within the industry, with a modern, professional spin that immediately feels new and fresh.

CHAPTER 3 : PRINT

Print Materials

We could create various creative and distinctive visual print materials using our design assets. New business cards give them a modern, professional presence when interacting with potential clients. Branded shirts allow the team to have a cohesive appearance when interacting with property owners and residents. Our print materials help Phaze 10 make the most of its rebranding.

“Urban Ignite has done an excellent job with all aspects of our marketing – they’ve helped us re-do our website, create original video/photo content, social media marketing, and design. I would highly endorse them to any small business interested in a local marketing company.”

CHAPTER 4 : WEBSITE

Web Redesign

With the visual identity in place, we could move into the web design phase of the project. Our goal was to utilize the new branding in an exciting way to build a website that feels contrasted with the more straightforward designs in the industry. To accomplish this, we used color boxes to highlight critical information and triangular color blocks that imitate the Z flow in the logo. Our design team carefully curated media that invoked modernism and exciting places to live, further cementing the identity of Phaze 10. Finally, our copy team surveyed the existing written content and vastly expanded upon it with a new SEO focus on additional service pages that give more context to what Phaze 10 provides to clients.

Original video content is significant to cultivating brand identity and has been a hugely beneficial means of communicating the work Four Twelve does to potential clients. Drone footage of in-progress and completed projects helps show off the fantastic quality of work Four Twelve ends. Recently, Urban Ignite’s video footage has helped document the founding of the Baltimore Roof Trust, a foundation established by Four Twelve to deliver one or more free roofs to Baltimore locals in need each year. In addition, video content has allowed us to communicate the values of Four Twelve as a company.

Jordan

Jordan Fuller is the Founder and Creative Director of Urban Ignite. He works with clients and the team to help drive the creative vision of each project.

Content creation has always been at the core of Jordan’s identity, starting with home movie production at the age of 6 and video editing at 14 for his YouTube channel. He took an optimistic approach, teaching himself web design in case the YouTube channel found success. While that project never achieved virality, it gave Jordan the tools to lay the foundation on which Urban Ignite would be built.

Urban Ignite began with clients in the construction and home remodeling industry and grew as a trusted digital marketing firm despite its small team. In the early days, Jordan saw the adverse effects overworking can have on a team’s creative output. As such, the workplace model was readjusted to focus on efficiency and work-life balance. This model includes industry-competitive pay while maintaining a 30-hour work week.

Jordan is a creative repository for clients, helping them dream bigger regarding content and marketing strategies.

In his free time, Jordan enjoys a good concert, nature walks, video games, meditation, or exploring local events across Baltimore. He also loves collaborating with others to make art, whether it’s at work or for personal projects. In addition, he hosts local “house shows,” which have showcased local musicians at the Urban Ignite office space for eight years.
